Broccoli Burgers

The perfect way to make a healthy, fresh veggie burger on the grill! We pan fry the patties on the stove and then transfer them to finish on the grill (works best on a gas grill, but we also love these burgers on a charcoal grill). Make sure the patties are nicely formed first (get your hands in there to pack them real good!).
Ingredients:
Burger Patties
1 package Adda Veggie Original Blend
2 cups riced broccoli
2 tbsp cooking oil
Fixings
4 slices vegan cheese
½ onion, thinly sliced
4 leaves butter lettuce
4 slices beefsteak tomato
“Secret Sauce” (see recipe below)
4 kaiser rolls (or burger buns)
Instructions:
Prepare full package of Adda Veggie using broccoli. Hand shape into 4 burger-sized patties. Heat 2 tbsp cooking oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook burger for 2-3 minutes each side until golden brown and crisp. Transfer to a plate.
Make secret sauce (see directions below) and refrigerate.
Meanwhile, heat up the grill to a medium heat (approx. 350° F).
Cut the onion into ¼-inch thick slices. Grill the sliced onions until lightly softened and grill marked on both sides.
Place cooked Adda Veggie broccoli burgers onto the grill. Once the bottom of each patty has grill marks, flip and place vegan cheese slice on top of each burger. Cover the grill to melt the cheese and remove the patties from the grill when the cheese is melted.
Slice the kaiser rolls in half and toast, cut face down, on the grill. Remove from the grill and generously spread both buns with secret sauce. Top with the butter lettuce, broccoli cheeseburger patties, sliced tomato, and grilled onions.
Secret Sauce
¼ cup mayonnaise (or vegan mayo)
2 tablespoons ketchup
¼ onion
1 tablespoon pickle relish or 1 sweet pickle, minced
Instructions:
Mince onion (hot tip: you can use the parts of the onion that don’t slice into neat burger rings).
Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a small bowl and store in refrigerator.
