Hi. I’m Trishna.

I started my healthy eating journey in college, where I had to figure out how to eat healthy on a really tight budget. And the answer? More veggies!

After earning my PhD in formulation science, I joined a food startup where I made vegan milks, yogurt, cheese and fake meats. But here’s the thing: these products were highly processed, which made them expensive, and they often were not very healthy.

So, I quit my job and started Down to Cook. In 2019, we launched our first product, Adda Veggie. Today, we're committed to making room at the table for anyone-and everyone- who wants to eat more veggies.

Here for the food,

Trishna Saigal • Founder and CEO • Down to Cook, Inc.

We promise to:

Make Nutritious Food

Our mixes include ingredients linked with healthy digestion, weight management and muscle health. Adding fresh veggies gives you a further boost in fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.

Support sustainability

Vegetables have a smaller footprint on the planet, so encouraging people to eat more plants is good for all of us. We also chose a protein source that uses less water and replenishes the soil where it grows.

Reduce food waste

Creativity helps us make the most of what we have. Like helping you cook those veggies you brought home and left hanging in your fridge. (Hey, we all do it.)

Invite everyone to the table

From allergy-friendly mixes to thoughtful pricing to easy instructions, we want to make healthy, delicious veggie-based meals something anyone can do.

We’re a Public Benefit Corp

We do business differently. We’re committed to being a company that serves both people and the planet.

As a Public Benefit Corporation, we manage our company in a way that balances value creation for shareholders with the public benefits laid out in our company charter:

  • Making plant-based diets accessible, inclusive and equitable.

  • Creating products that reduce the consumption of animal products and support the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

Culture + People

We believe in embracing people (and veggies!) for who they are. Sound like fun?
