R&D Chef (Full- or Part-Time)
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who enjoys the breadth of responsibility of joining an early stage start-up and can be agile and efficient. This role requires a high level of creativity as we are building a new consumer category. This position is open to part- or full-time employment.
We currently distribute through Gordon Food Service and are looking to unlock more distribution on the West Coast and Northeast. We are seeking a candidate with experience creating recipes for commercial operations and supporting sales across a variety of channels including education, healthcare and restaurants. Candidates should be highly organized, detail oriented and reliable.
Responsibilities:
Develop recipes for each channel to meet their specific needs. Work with nutritionists to finalize recipes that meet K-12 requirements.
Create scalable techniques for cooking Adda Veggie in commercial settings.
Sales outreach to restaurants, colleges and healthcare facilities.
Develop customer relations, perform product tastings and support customized menu development.
Travel to conferences to represent Adda Veggie, perform sampling demos, manage booths and meet with key accounts.
Experience & Education:
5+ years of experience in foodservice operations
Culinary degree required
Big plus for any experience working for a food product company.
Location: San Francisco Bay Area. The company is based in El Cerrito, California and candidate must be willing to work at least 2x per week in the Berkeley, CA area. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
